As I posted earlier, this weekend I participated in Cultivated Wit‘s Comedy Hack Day, a weekend-long fusion of comedy & technology where practitioners in both fields create and demo hilarious hardware, websites, apps, & more! I worked with developer/stand-up comic/improviser Trevor Burnham to create SlySound, a covert music ID app that we pitched as “Shazam for Hipsters”. Check out a video of our demo below! I was so glad people enjoyed it. Here’s a link to the accompanying blog post & interview.
SO Fun! I def recommend the event to anyone interested in either tech or laughs. Really hope I have the chance to do it again next year.

This weekend I participated in Cultivated Wit‘s Comedy Hack Day @ MIT’s Media Lab, a 2-day event where tech-y people and funny people come together to brainstorm, develop, and demo comedic apps/games/sites/hardware/etc. It was hectic and exhausting and it required me to make a cassette recording of Nickleback, but it was also an insane amount of fun.
On top of that my partner, Trevor Burnham, and I won the “Runner-Up Award For Almost Winning But Not Quite” for our app SlySound (which we pitched as Shazam for hipsters). Great weekend, I’ll def do Comedy Hack Day again the next time it comes through town.
