Well here’s a new/awesome/weird feeling: I’m in the TV Guide! Tune in on Monday 10/16 if you’d like to catch my National TV debut as host of Episode 2 of “Stories From The Stage”. The show is a collaboration between WORLD Channel, WGBH, & Massmouth Inc. highlighting real stories from real people told in a relaxed and welcoming environment. But before you catch me make sure to tune in on 10/9 to catch the series debut hosted by my amazing co-host Theresa Okokon. I believe it will be at 9:30ET but be sure to double check the listings in your market. I’m ridiculously psyched about this project which only exists due to the hard work of so many talented staff, crew members, & storytellers. I’m so thankful for the opportunity and I can’t wait to tune in! You can check out the series trailer HERE.

You always hope for the win, but you know, I really can’t complain, it was a thoroughly awesome show. Happy to report that I took home 3rd place at Massmouth’s the season-ending Big Mouth Off @ The Coolidge Corner Theater. The audience was treated to 12 of the best tales of the last month and I got to get up on stage on one of my absolute favorite places in the city. Many thanks to Massmouth and it’s incredible staff & volunteers, especially the ever-working Norah Dooley.
Also, I can’t forget to shout out 1st place winner Myles Green & 2nd place winner Christine McDonnell!

The Coolidge Corner Theater. One of the first places that became a regular haunt of mine when I moved into Boston for college. I saw midnight showings of Donnie Darko, Black Dynamite, & The Room here. And now I finally get to grace the stage as part of Massmouth’s Greater Boston Story Slam Finals (AKA The BigMouthOff). Sweetness.
Join us for an amazing show on Thurs 4/30 (7pm) as the final 12 competitors of the season go head to head to see who’ll be crowned 2015 storytelling champion. It’s a competition, sue, but more than that it’s sure to be an incredible evening where you’ll laugh, cry, and do everything in between. Come out, I’d love to see ya.

It’s that time again! Your favorite local storytelling organization is nearing the end of its spectacular competitive season. That means the semifinals are right around the corner. The best tellers & stories of the year will be showcased all over the Boston / Camber-ville area as they compete for a place on the “Big Mouth-off” finals stage.
Once again I’m in the semis this year and I’d love for you to come check me out on Tuesday 3/24, 7p at Johnny D’s in Somerville MA (and maybe vote for me if you like what you hear…)
Tickets can be purchased HERE, watch out they’re going fast.

I’m a little late in updating about it here, but the weekend before Halloween I set a goal for myself: Win 2 story slams in 2 nights. I’m very happy to say that I was able to do it, so yeah, not a bad 48 hours. I owe many thanks to Massmouth for putting on the excellent “Near Death” slam at Sanctuary on Sunday and also to The Moth for packing the house at OBERON last night as we heard tales of “Lost & Found”. Amazing tellers and audiences for both shows, I couldn’t have asked for more. Seriously folks, if you’ve never made it out to a story slam before, treat yo self. We have a pretty damn good scene.
