I had an incredible time at the inaugural edition of LadiesCon. So many cool artists and creations and the crowd was super friendly. I was giving away zines (& candy) and selling prints and chapbooks. And while I only had a single physical display copy I also got to do a ton of promotion for my book Questions for Terrible People which is currently available on Amazon! It was a long but great day all around and I’m so thrilled that such a cool convention exists in my backyard. Thanks to everyone who made it possible!

Boston Comic Con is an incredible 3 day celebration of comics, sci-fi, cosplay, and all things in the realm of Geekdom. This year in the run up to the festivities I got to team up with the fine folks at CBS and Chevy to host a multi-part web series “The Secret Worlds of Boston Comic Con”. It’s been super fun talking to artists, comic shop owners, the keeper’s of MIT’s secret sic-fi library, and a whole bunch of other cool individuals. i hope you enjoy the series as much as I’ve enjoyed hosting it. Check out the whole thing HERE!

UM…I can’t draw for sh#t. I’ve known this since at least 1st grade. Anyone who knows me knows this. I have no illusions. BUT…Somehow, I got invited to be part of the ridiculously entertaining Sketch Fighter competition at the 2015 edition of Boston Comic Con. For the uninitiated: teams of 1 standup comic and 1 professional comic artists are teamed against each other with each team member taking turns drawing a comics-related item/character/scene. Their team member must then guess what it is and the first person to guess the correct answer wins the round.
The crowd was live, the prompts were awesome, and the artists and comics really brought it with their respective talents.
That said, I CANNOT draw, thank God I’m funny…sometimes.

It’s not quite Wakanda yet, but I finally made it onto the cover of comic book…kinda. Super psyched for this show, come on out if you can make it. It’ll be my triumphant return to the only venue where I’ve ever heard an audience member yell out an angry N-bomb (directed not at me, but our commander in chief, whom another comic happened to mention in passing. Rest of the crowd was cool tho…)
